Currie, Nevada

The town went bust after the railroad stopped traveling there in 1941. Now the hotel is used as a storage unit for lots of junk.

My boyfriend and I were on a roadtrip. I kept seeing the sun in my rearview mirrors getting lower and oranger with each passing moment. Finally, I realized that there was no rush in getting anywhere. I pulled over the car and got out and took some photos of the beautiful sky. Then my boyfriend and I leaned against the car and watched the bright ball sink into the horizon. I'm glad I slowed down in time to watch the sky.

Kimberly Whitaker has been a member since 10 November 2007 and goes by raspberrytart.

Currently in Salt Lake City.

I am addicted to travel. In 2001, I made a goal to see all 50 United States in 5 years; I completed this goal in 2006 with Hawai'i. Now I am going back to see places that I didn't see on my first time around, as well as trying to see new places. I have been to the USA, Canada, Mexico, and a few places in the Caribbean.
