Even for an experienced crew on this Santa Cruz 52 called Elixer, the dropping of the spinnaker sail can a dangerous, often times the huge nylon sail will drop under the boat and get caught up in the keel and rudder. Despite how out of control this make look, the crew pulled it in, made the turn into the harbor and claimed fired the finishing gun as the first to finish.

The cancellation of the commercial and recreational salmon season has caused many fishermen to abandon their boats, slips, and this beautiful harbor, creating a great opportunity for new recreational boaters to finally get a slip.
