Just off the busy roads of central Warsaw is Saxon Garden, a large park where the hustle and bustle of the city is lost in the trees and fountain. It is a fantastic place to enjoy the warmth of the October sun.
This staircase leads to the Royal Oratory, which now houses replicas of the crown jewels.
The banners were brought to the church for a coronation from all the counties of Hungary. Many of the banners are from regions that are no longer part of Hungary, but they still belong in this church, which is for all Hungarian people.
This replica, in St. Stephen's Chapel, was created for Hungarians to pay homage to when the original ended up in the United States. The original has been restored to the people of Hungary, and can now be seen at the Hungarian Parliament.
The unique design of this window is to allow it to be centred on bot h the interior and exterior of the West Facacde
The Turks used this church as a mosque during their rule of Budapest from 1541 to 1686. They whitewashed the frescoes, which were not properly restored until the 19th century.
This church in Budapest is part of the Castle District.
