These boats happened to be painted the same shade of yellow and tied up right next to eachother!
The failing fishing industry in Chile is marked by independent fishermen who do not catch their own fish, but scramble for the leftovers of the big fishing companies. The new industry begun to fail almost as quickly as they adopted salmon farming.
Another note: my dad, who is from Turkey, explained that it is common practice to "sink" your boat like this in order to prep it for a paint job!
