Rows of townhouses, Geneva, New York

Rows of townhouses, Geneva, New York

Perched on a hill just above Seneca lake is the beautiful historic town of Geneva. Rows of colorful townhouses and mansions line the streets.

Colorful rocks and shells

Outside the door of my lakeside bed and breakfast along Cayuga Lake the shore is covered with colorful rocks and shells. If your lucky you can find very rare turtleback stones.

Tranquil Cayuga Lake

Tranquil Cayuga Lake

Carved by glaciers, Cayuga Lake is the longest and second deepest of the Finger Lakes.

Holding a Riesling plant, Seneca Lake, USA

Holding a Riesling plant, Seneca Lake, USA

A Reisling plant purchased from Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard. This winery grows grapes in the traditional European way and Hermann is perhaps one of the finest vintners in the entire region. Suprisingly this winery is not listed on most maps but is a gem you should not miss on your trip.

The Dock at Miles Wine Cellars, Seneca Lake, New York, USA

Dock your boat along Seneca Lake and walk up a hill lined with wildflowers to find Miles Wine Cellars. Located in a Historic Greek Revival white House and it is even haunted.
