Antigua, Guatemala

Antigua, Guatemala

It seems that this is the picture that everyone needs to take in Antigua. Frame the arch over the volcano! Well, here it is. When you visit Antigua you will want to take it too. The city is small enough to walk around. If you want to learn a bit of Spanish there is an abundance of schools where you can also stay in a home. The food is excellent, the homes hospitable and friendly.

Panajachel, Guatemala, is right on Lake Atitlán. One of the most beautiful spots in the world. This picture was taken on a 35mm film and scanned. The morning of this picture it had just rained and I couldn't wait to get the film developed.

Currently in Oklahoma City.

I am a molecular biologist who loves photography. I love the small things in life (macros, sEM's, and tEM's) but I never fell in love with the dark room when I had to use negatives. I didn't liked the chemicals, the baths, or the timers, so it was a really easy transition to digital cameras and Photoshop! My job position makes me the director of our fieldstation QERC in Costa Rica so this has planted an interest in me in the environment, the montane cloud forests and the respelendent...
