Crossing the road

Crossing the road

After a 24 hour deluge of steady rain, the road back to Nairobi was a two-foot river of brown-muddy water. Needless to say, our landrovers got stuck and we got to play in the current

Maasai Mama's

Maasai Mama's

At the entrance of nearly every park in Kenya, Maasai women surround incoming and exiting landrovers in hopes to sell their beaded necklaces and trinkets

Going nowhere

Going nowhere

Take time to view your surroundings, smell the air, listen to the wind - that's what slow travel is all about and walking down a road that leads to the ocean is a perfect place to start.

Becky Timbers

Becky Timbers has been a member since 27 January 2008 and goes by whereonearth07.

Currently in Alaska.

I am a photographer, writer, traveler, outdoorist, yogi, cook, liberal vegan... I hate trying to explain who I am in under 100 words, but those are some of my greatest passions. I love to travel and my dream job is to be a photographer for National Geographic, but right now I'm settling for shooting and writing about the amazing places of Hawaii while soaking up the sun and sand.
