What makes a great beach? Privacy, sun, sand, a nice swimming area and places to explore. Red Sand Beach has it all. Located in Hana on the east coast of Maui, Red Sand Beach is a little difficult to find, but the extra trek is more than worth it. If you're sensitive to Adam and Eve portraits, this may not be the best choice for you.
Known as the Little Grand Canyon, Waimea Canyon in Kauai is breathtaking. There are plenty of hiking trails and waterfalls to explore to pass a day or even a week.
Where the land meets the sea: Kalalau Valley extends down into the Pacific waters off the coast of Kauai. Known for it's lush tropical setting for Jurassic Park and other films, Kauai's beauty is absolutely stunning.
Spend the day watching the surfers and windsurfers catch monster waves at Ho'okipa Beach.
After a day of sun and surf, watching the sun go down at the Ho'okipa lookout is a perfect way to wind up the day
Ku Ku Kachoo little dude!
Saw this guy off the coast of maui, just chillin' and enjoying the turquoise blue waters

I am a photographer, writer, traveler, outdoorist, yogi, cook, liberal vegan... I hate trying to explain who I am in under 100 words, but those are some of my greatest passions. I love to travel and my dream job is to be a photographer for National Geographic, but right now I'm settling for shooting and writing about the amazing places of Hawaii while soaking up the sun and sand.
