Chambers Bay Golf Course, near tacoma, Washington, will be the site of the 2015 US Open and the 2010 US Amateur Golf Championship. This publicly-owned links-style golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones utilizing the features of a former gravel mine along Puget Sound with the natural beauty of the water and the Olympic Mountains as a back drop. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the golf course with breathtaking vistas.
