Plaza 9 de Julio, the central plaza in the Northern Argentine city of Salta, is framed on one side by the Catedral de Salta, a striking pink and white church. The cotton-candy color pink is so rich, it almost looks like a big wedding cake. Unfortunately, it is not edible. And, surprisingly, the interior is much more humble than the wedding-cake exterior suggests. But it is beautiful, all the same.
