In Washington DC, the National Cherry Blossom Festival is always a hit. Thousands of blooming trees spring to life in March, creating a beautiful atmosphere around the Tidal Basin. The trees were given to DC by the Japanese in 1912. Now the Cherry Blossoms are one of the largest tourist attractions in DC.
This photo has been submitted to the Issue 4 theme “Festival.” Do you think it’s good for this theme?
I think this is a great photo. However, I recommend that you rotate it slightly so that the Washington Monument doesn't look like the Leaning Tower of Piza. Then it would be perfect! You certainly found a fabulous place to take a photo.
