I have found that many restaurants nowadays will allow you to dine in their outdoor areas with your dog as long as they are well behaved, leashed and don't bother other patrons. I have a leash for my dog that has an attachment on the other end to secure a dog to something as well, so you don't have to worry about holding onto her while trying to eat yourself. It's always best to ask first, though, just to make sure of each places' policies.
