On my way overland from Jordan to Syria, my driver stopped me at this shop to change money. It always makes me smile to look at the wording on that sign. There is no letter 'P' in the Arabic language so it is replaced with a 'B' and sometimes 'F'.
That's really interesting about there being no "P"! Would love to see more signs from the region that do that replacement - you must see some really funny consequences...
We have some pretty funny ones in Malta too. I have to keep an eye out for them. The 'p' and the 'b' are not normally too much of a problem for locals but more for foreigners who are learning Arabic.
