Photo: Sand Harbor Visitor Center and Restaurant

This visitor center recently opened and offers historical, ecological and geological information about Lake Tahoe. Next door is a small restaurant with a large deck area for outdoor eating. The view is of Lake Tahoe and the California Sierra Nevadas. Sand Harbor offers secluded beaches, a boat launch, swimming, picnicking and trails for walking and biking.
