Photo: Old fort at Saida, Lebanon

This beautiful old fort graces the sea front of Saida in Lebanon. You have to walk over the bridge to get to it. A custodian will take you round the different rooms and all the way up to the roof near the flag where you can take some nice shots of the little inlet. The architectural features inside are pretty impressive. It even used to have 2 steam baths, one for men and one for women. The canons that used to protect the fort are now laying inside the courtyard. I'd like to return to this scene on a stormy day to capture it in a more dramatic perspective.
