One of the ponies that roam free on Assateague Island. Once a year the ponies are rounded up and herded to Chincoteague Island where they are auctioned off. The proceeds benefit the volunteer fire dept. This tradition has been carried on for generations.

The ponies tend to have bloated bellies because of the salty grass in their diet.
