The old British Library Reading Room is at the heart of the British Museum and the centrepiece of the redesigned and covered Great Court that was formally opened in 2000.
It's not an 'art gallery', but it is home to an amazing array of art from many cultures and eras. My personal favourite are the galleries containing the friezes and sculpture from the ancient world. Whatever the ethics of the Elgin Marbles being here, you can't deny they are beautifully displayed.
This is a great picture, I was here in November and this picture looks even better than the real thing, if that's possible, but you get what I mean, hopefully. Great Capture
