Snow Geese numbering in the thousands upon thousands take their first morning flight at sunrise. Flyout at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico during migration is something everyone should see! If you are lucky you will be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise for your efforts at getting up before dawn. Sandhill Cranes can number as high as 17,000 on the refuge, and Snow Geese counts exceed 50,000.
