Our tour group arrived at the military base just outside of the DMZ. We were a little early. The only thing we could see from the parking lot was this not-entirely-appetizing sign, and several military structures. In the distance we could hear the occasional explosion of artillery rounds in some sort of US/South Korean exercise being held nearby.
