Photo: Sun through the fog

Sun through the fog

With an East coaster and a Texan visiting me in Oregon, I couldn't help but take them to my favorite park on the West Coast. We were walking along the Damnation Creek Trail in the Redwoods National Park when I glanced up and saw this. Mother nature looked like it photoshopped this scene. The redwoods have an unparalleled grandeur that never ceases to amaze me. Mixed with the seemingly ever present fog, it made for a magical moment amongst the giant trees that I won't soon forget.

Magnificent wonders of nature. I was there in 1987 and couldn't get over how tall the trees were and the beauty of the red wood. This is a beautiful shot.
