Sequoia Park Zoo

Although the quality of this photo is a bit diminished by the glare on the glass, I wanted you to see one of the monkeys. I don't recall this little guys technical name, but he sure liked posing for me.

I used to live up there (Arcata/Trinidad). This reminded me of "Bill the Chimp" (whose cage is to the left of the Lion Tamarins seen above), the feature attraction for decades. His cigarette smoking, farty noises and poop flinging antics drew everyone I knew to re-visit and introduce to any and all who hadn't been blessed with a proper introduction. Sadly, he died just last year at 61 years old.

    [Bill's life story.]

Thanks for your comments Devin. It's great to bring back those memories. I did have the pleasure of seeing "Bill the Chimp" several years ago and learned of his death. Sad to see him go--he brought a lot of pleasure to many, many zoo goers over the years.

Until I read that this fellow looked a lot like "Bill the Chimp" I was just sure it was one of my husband's relatives.
