With an expired roll of slide film that had to of been sleeping in the open air glass case of the camera stand for over 5 years, I rode the train back and forth to Red Square. It was the last of two rolls at a camera stand in the underground mall at Red Square. I had no choice, and it was still as expensive as a steak dinner.
I must of shot 20 images, moving from car to car. Often, stepping off the train, and boarding on the next one to arrive.
I didn't get a chance to see the roll till I got back to San Francisco. This shot quickly became my favorite, that summed up the silence from riding the Moscow Underground.
I leaned quickly in my 5 days there.. don't make eye contact. And as instructed by 6 very stern transit police officers.. Do NOT take pictures of the trains. I read it as, just don't get caught. We all shook hands, and I boarded the next train to finish off the roll.
