I live in Groningen, a university city in the North-East of the Netherlands.
Just two minutes away from my house starts a strip with villas. Grotesque houses build between the late 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
By far the most beautiful villa on the strip is 'Huize Wolff', or 'Wolff's House''. This villa, build in 1892, has just been renovated entirely.
It's a neorenaissance building with an abundance of ornaments.
While it was owned and used for years by the University of Groningen it private property at the moment.

Looks like a movie set or something. Really beautiful, but something about it that makes me laugh.
