Photo: The Royal Guard

Standing outside of Marmorkirken, the Royal Guard marched by me midday from Amalienborg Palace on there way to somewhere important. The startling part of it all was their assault rifles they were walking with on their shoulders. I was thinking Copenhagen had to be one of the most peaceful places I'd ever been, why do they need guns? And furthermore, are they loaded?
