About this place:

Terni is a town in the centre of Italy; it's the second chief town of the province in the region of Umbria and it's history goes back as far as the Rome's one. It's mostly an industrial town, tourism hasn't touched this place yet, but even if the town itself isn't so charming [the historical centre has been almost completely destroyed during IIWW because of the arms factory there] the sorroundings are amazing, and it's a good base camp to visit the centre of Italy. Rome is just one hour and half away [by train or car], and within 2 hours you can reach Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Orvieto, Todi, Gubbio, and many other small villages still unknown to the mass tourism.

Soon outside the town there's the famous Cascata delle Marmore [Marmore falls] the higher artificial fall of Europe, made by old romans in 271 BC and whos inspired many artists Lord Byron, just to name one.

The town itself it's still a quiet spot even if growing fast, life goes slowly and it can be a good place to have a glance of the 'real' italian province life.
