Lucky Ju Ju

The all you can play, vintage pinball arcade and museum.

About this place:

Lucky Ju Ju is a pinball arcade full of vintage pinball machines that have been meticulously restored. It's located in an old hair salon; $10 gets you admission, the machines themselves are free. There's no alcohol served, it's strictly BYOB. There's a small fridge to store your cache, and a convenient beer holder attached to each machine.

Every few weeks, the guy that runs this place swaps out the machines, he has about 100 and only has 40 or so in circulation at a time. One of my favorites that he has is called the Black Knight, a medieval themed game. It is a fairly straightforward game, with the addition of electro-magnets you can engage at a button press to make the ball stop in the middle of the aisle. It just shows the cleverness that pinball designers went to to make compelling games before the advent of modern electronics and video games.
