Make sure you have the time to actually wander around these dunes, as they are "Singing Dunes" - run down them, and they will sing to you.
About this place:
The Mojave National Preserver lies between I-40 and I-15 on the Caliifornia/Nevada border. It is truly a preserved desert terrain with the giant formations to prove it. I highly recommend it, but come prepared.
