The DUMBO neighborhood begins to come back to life as the blizzard of February 2006 comes to an end. The Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges dominate this corner of Brooklyn and their massive approaches make it challenging to navigate it's streets.

About this place:

DUMBO "Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overhang" area Brooklyn provides a nice peephole where the Empire State Building can be viewed.

Many artists are moving there and it seems the film industry shares my feelings on the gritty and timelessnesses of this neighborhood as they shoot nearly continuously through the year (like Chuck and Larry and the new Diaz and Kutcher flick "What Happens in Vegas". A great place to enjoy some food, drinks and the arts.

    One of my favorit places in New York. THis particular spot has been used in many movies and can now also be seen in the new L'oreal advertisment for mens skin cream. A place where many artists live or are moving to from the village. It still has that gritty NY atmosphere that most places in the 5 boroughs have lost.
