Christmas time in Ladenburg
This is the market square with the Maria fountain, at Christmas. This is the location of the annual Christmas Market.

Ladenburg is a walled half timbered medieval town with roots dating to ancient Roman times. It is located between Heidleberg and Mannheim along the Neckar river.
It is chock full of history and archeology with an museum at it's center containing an amazing collection.
Not only does Ladenburg hold history back to Roman times, it is also the village where Carl Benz and his wife Berta lived. There is a fantastic museum of his vehicles, his home where he lived and also his tomb. Each year there is a great gathering of all things Benz that is a must see.
Besides all this history, Ladenburg is simply a beautifully kept town, full of winding paths and loads of things just around the corner to discover.
