Opened in 2003, the Time Warner Center/Shops at Columbus Circle is probably the first real, suburb-style, multi-level shopping mall in Manhattan. It's located at the southwest corner of Central Park (Columbus Circle). In the same building are the luxury Madarin Oriental Hotel, four high-end restaurants, and Whole Foods super market in the basement.
