About this place:

Williams-Ellis designed and constructed this village between 1925 and 1975. He incorporated fragments of demolished buildings, including works by a number of other architects.

This “folly” of a town has played host to the cult sixties series ‘The Prisoner’, as well as occasional episode of other programmes, such as ‘Dr. Who’ and ‘Danger Man’.

The village is now owned by a charitable trust and is a top tourist attraction in North Wales.
