  Cape Coast is a fantastic place to visit. They have a large slave fort, mostly intact, that juts out over the sea. The village is quaint and safe, although people are rising to the opportunity that tourism brings, and you will no doubt be asked to purchase everything from a cab ride to ice cream to wooden carvings. Be sure to barter, as it's insulting not to.
