This is the hand-drawn map that was given to us by my cousin -- a native Parisian -- directing us to Glaces Berthillon. We found it!
About this place:
Glaces Berthillon is an excellent ice cream/sorbet stand that's a short walk from Notre Dame cathedral. It's rumored to be the best ice cream in Paris, but at the very least, it's a great little snack during a hard day of exploring the city.
