Millenium Bridge from the South Bank

This is the view of the Millenium Bridge from the south bank of the River Thames looking across to The City and St. Paul's Cathedral.

About this place:

The Millenium Bridge connects the North and South Banks of the River Thames in London between Blackfriars Bridge and Southwark Bridge. It was opened in June of 2000, and it has the honor of being the first new bridge built across the Thames since the Tower Bridge in the late 1800's. Interestingly, the bridge had to be closed two days after its opening due to an extreme case of "wobbling", which earned it its nickname "the Wobbly Bridge". This was remedied quickly, and the problem has not occurred since. Walking across this bridge towards The City (North Bank) gives a picture perfect view of St. Paul's Cathedral.
