Possibly the firts town ever founded by the Romans outside of the Italian peninsula, this town holds the name in its honour.

Situated just outside the city of Santiponce (9 km NW of Seville, Spain), Itàlica was founded in 206 BC in order to settle Roman soldiers wounded in the Battle of Ilipa.
