The Agate Bay harbor breakwater extends several hundred meters into Lake Superior in Two Harbors, MN and provides one of the most dramatic and accessible views to be had of Lake Superior along Minnesota's "North Shore". An especially thrilling experience is to boldly walk out during the beginnings of a storm and to experience the power of the lake first hand.
Just off of the famed Highway 61, Agate Bay harbor is located in Two Harbors, MN and provides one of the most outstanding and easily accessible views of Lake Superior along Minnesota's North Shore. Huge ocean-going cargo ships can regularly be seen up close at the giant docks, along with the only operating light house in Minnesota. The most breathtaking aspect of the bay however, is the breakwater that allows one to walk several hundred meters out into Lake Superior.
