About this place:
Connecting Staten Island and Brooklyn, the Verrazano Bridge is the largest suspension bridge in the United States. Though it plays red-headed stepsister to the more renowned Brooklyn Bridge, it is a beautifully designed span, and can be seen each November when it stars as the opening mile of the New York City Marathon.
