Place to see: Corona Heights Park, San Francisco, California, United States

About this place:

South of the bigger and more forested Buena Vista Park lies Corona Heights Park. The Randall Museum sits at the base of a massive hill on one side, and a small field and fenced-in dog park area are on the other. But the real adventure is climbing the hill up to the peak and getting a fantastic panoramic view of San Francisco (especially when perched atop one of the many rocks people are always climbing to get a better perspective). It's extremely windy up there though, so make sure to bring extra layers for the journey.
