Bogolyubsky Monastery
The brilliantly blue-domed Bogolyubsky Monastery is located in the center of the small community of Bogolyubovo. Tourists may enter the monastery, but women must be wearing a skirt and (if possible) have their hair covered.
About this place:
Bogolyubovo, a small yet historic settlement on Russia's famed Golden Ring, was founded in approximately 1158 by Prince Andrei Bogolyubski. It is currently the location of the Bogolyubski Monastery and the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl.
