  Ever since I first moved to North Georgia in early 2007, I had heard about this Bavarian-themed town called Helen. Recently we decided to find out what this place was all about. Parts of the drive there are filled with beautiful countryside scenery including old farmhouses and rolling hills. Unfortunately we weren't that impressed with Helen. It comes off very gimmicky. It's probably fun during Oktoberfest but for a better Bavarian experience we would suggest Germany itself or even the World Showcase at Disney's Epcot Center in Orlando. Still it's an interesting place to visit......once.
