About this place:
Donner Lake is surrounded by the Sierra Mountains in a little town called Truckee in Northern California. The lake has several public docks that you can fish off, lay out on, launch your boat from, or just sit and watch the scenary. Donner Lake is named after the Donner Party that came through there and got stuck. There is also a few beaches around the lake that you can pay to enter.
