This was taken in the Sabanci Museum in Emirgan, Istanbul. I was there for the Rodin exhibition in Summer 2006.

About this place:

The Sabanci Museum is located in Emirgan, one of the oldest residential areas of the Bosphorus in İstanbul.

The main building of the museum was made by Prince Mehmed Ali Hasan of the Egypt Hidiv family, designed by Italian architect Edouard De Nari in 1927. It has been used as a summer house by the family for many years.

In 1950, the mansion was purchased by industrialist Omer Sabancı. After his death in 1966, the mansion started to be used as a permanent residence by Sakip Sabanci.

In 1998, it was allocated to Sabanci University to be used as a museum.
