Located in Daegu's Mangudang Park, this statue commemorates General Kwak, who led Korean forces to a defeat of the Japanese in 1592.
Mangudang Park is located near the bank of Daegu's Geumho River, and is located a short walk south of the duck-boat park. The central feature of the park is a statue of General Kwak Jae Woo, who successfully led the Koreans in battle against the Japanese in 1592. There are several pavilions, a statue of General Kwak, and a museum, all located within a nicely manicured park.
