Uspenskyaya Church of the Uspensky Monastery

Uspenskyaya Church of the Uspensky Monastery

This church was used as an archive during Soviet times, and is currently undergoing restoration. It is located in downtown Tula, across from Lenin Square.

About this place:

The historic city of Tula was founded in the 14th century. The downtown (or "center") is a pleasant place for a stroll. Beautifully painted buildings, cathedrals, and (of course) a statue of Lenin are just some of the many things to see.
