(The building seen in the background is the old Vladimir watertower, which currently serves as the Vladimir History Museum.)

About this place:

The American Home, located at ul. Letneperevozinskaya 3 in Vladimir, Russia opened in 1992. An architectural oddity in Russia, the American Home is designed to look like a typical American ranch-style house. The AH offers English lessons to locals ages 12 and up, catering to students, businessmen, and those purely interested in learning English. The AH also offers intensive Russian courses for native English speakers.
