Place to see: American Home, Vladimir, Russia

Britt and Alyona at their wedding

I adore Russian wedding traditions: First, the couple has an official wedding ceremony at a government building. Then, the newlyweds and a select group of close friends and family travel around the city together taking photographs at local landmarks, and visiting places where they are employed/study/etc to be congratulated by friends and coworkers.

About this place:

The American Home, located at ul. Letneperevozinskaya 3 in Vladimir, Russia opened in 1992. An architectural oddity in Russia, the American Home is designed to look like a typical American ranch-style house. The AH offers English lessons to locals ages 12 and up, catering to students, businessmen, and those purely interested in learning English. The AH also offers intensive Russian courses for native English speakers.
