Treasure Falls from Trail bridge

Treasure Falls from Trail bridge

Best color of the falls are obtained in the fall when leaves on bushes and trees are changing color and it is worth the hike to come to the foot bridge and get some shots up here. Falls tumble around 75 feet to the creek below.

About this place:

Treasure Falls located on the west side of Wolf Creek Pass at the base of the pass along highway 160. If you go to fast you will miss the falls and parking area. There is a trail up to the falls with a bridge giving you a great photo of the waterfall and creek below, especially in the fall.

I told my wife to pack a bag for about a seven day trip in October of 2006 and it was one of the best trips we ever took for fall colors. I had photographed these falls a couple of years prior to this but did not have the color that showed in this example. Fall is the best time as the ground cover bushes and aspen trees are changing color and really enhance the falls and creek around it. It is well the photographers time to take the mile hike to the bridge to capture great photos of falls.
