We visited Hardin, Montana during the Little Big Horn Days, 2006. This is a wonderful, rural town, that embraces it's place in history. During Big Horn Days, you can visit the 1876 Grand Ball, view award winning quilts, and see a reenactment of Custer's Last Stand. Be sure to visit the Big Horn County Historical Museum, a wonderful Living History Museum. Besides Hardin, you can also visit the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument (15 miles) and Pompey’s Pillar (60 miles). Pompey’s Pillar is a large sandstone butte that bears Capitan Clark’s signature. His signature is the only remaining physical proof of the Lewis and Clark expedition along the trail they traveled while opening the west.
