Place to see: Tulum ruins, Tulum, Mexico

Lizard worshipping

Lizard worshipping

There is still a lot of wildlife roaming the ruins. Mainly lizards, some of them quite large!

About this place:

The ruins of a Mayan city on the sea. There is access to a very nice stretch of beach down below, though it gets a bit crowded by mid-morning. If you're staying close and can come as soon as the sun rises, you won't regret it.

Tulum is a place where a human being can go and be engulfed in ancient history, gorgeous water and sand, wild iguanas and the absence of modernity. The sand is white, fine and cool to the touch of bare skin. The water is a pure cyan blue and clear. The iguanas bring humor to your senses. The ruins make your eyes jump for joy in awe. Tulum is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Go there at some point in your lifetime. You won't regret it.
