    The "haunting call to prayer" is an Istanbul cliché, but as the sun sets behind Mimar Sinan's great creation and the muezzin's voice carries across the Golden Horn to Beyoğlu, you remember why clichés become that way in the first place: because the experience they are trying to describe has a power beyond words.
